How can I remove cork wall tiles without damaging the original wall?
I am looking into soundproofing my rooms using cork tiles for the walls. Some websites advise using a liquid adhesive to mount the tiles, while other places sell tiles that have adhesive backs (I am leaning towards the latter). What is the best way to remove the tiles when I no longer need them without damaging the wall underneath? A little paint coming off isn’t an issue, since I am able to simply repaint it afterwards.
I removed some of the adhesive backed cork tiles. It was a persnickety job– Of course these tiles had been there for years.
My first thought is to use the small square double faced “stickers” on the corners– instead of the entire tile. I for sure wouldn’t use the liquid adhesive unless you intend to replace the wall board…

My border tiles are wider than the wall tiles by 5mm. How do i get an even finish on the wall?
i would prefer not to have any border tile sticking out but have plasterboard walls and have been told nothing is possible!
Use more adhesive on tiles thus pushing them out 5 mm or as your walls are plasterboard tile up to border height and cut a recess into the plasterboard(the height of border tile) to accomadate the difference in thickness of tile.This wouldn’t need to be done too neatly or accurately as you’ll be covering it anyway.
