How do you defeat The Flood ?
I am playing HALO on X-Box (original game) and have progrssed on “HEROIC” skill level.
I have reached “The Library” but find “The Flood” impossible to fight against. As soon as I kill them, more seem to appear, Some flood creatures kill me in ONE hit, and even when I find a spot to re-charge my energy shields, within seconds I am surrounded and killed. With the Covenant, I used strategies, techniques and some luck to get where I am, but this “flood” enemy is very quickly ruining what was potentilay a great game, as I can see no way to defeat them. Am I missing something ?
I agree shotgun, and the assault rifle or the laser rifle for the little fella’s. As the little fella’s are hit they explode and in turn will take out quite a few of their little partners, remembering that will help you conserve some ammo.
Be careful with the plasma grenades if you through one and it sticks the flood maybe run towards you taking you out with them. Frags work best against the flood, so far as grenades go.
Be sure and remember where all the healths are, you can almost always go back and revive yourself.
You don’t have to destroy all of them in order to make through the level, you’ll learn where and when you need to kill them all before advancing.

Spotting Flood-Damaged Cars
When you have your car captured by flood, you might be thinking once it gets dry it will simply be delivered to the salvage yard. Well, think again.

Unavoidable problems with flood-damaged cars
A car damaged in flood is not always revealing its defects immediately. Wheel and brake, engine and transmission damages can evolve only weeks after purchasing this “brand new” vehicle.
If the car was completely immersed, it’s wise to not even look at it. It could have been in sandy water, comparatively debris-free water, or sewer water. Long-term problems will crop out, if water has seeped either into the transmission or engine. For example, if the water brought sand inside the engine, blown and misfiring gaskets might be simply around the corner.
Besides, immersed vehicles often develop electrical problems.
You also might get sick when driving a vehicle that was immersed in sewer water. High bacteria levels are probable, unless the dealer has removed the carpet padding and disinfected the interior.
Can all of them be bad?
Not all of flooded vehicles are outcasts. You still might get a quality automobile if it has been thoroughly cleaned and properly restored. A question to Christians about the Great Flood?
Even back when I was a Christian I doubted the historical accuracy of the Great Flood for several reasons, but here is just one of those. If the Great Flood happened then how did all of these animals get where they are today? According to the story Noah and co. all landed in one spot (presumably somewhere near what we call Israel today) because that is where just about everything else in the Bible happened. So how is it that we have non-aquatic animals all over the world how do we have marmosets in South America, gorillas in Africa, and orangutans in India? How did the gila monster get to southwestern North America? And in fact how can we have Amerindians and Aztecs and Mayans? The technology for a boat that would be able to get from Europe or Africa to the Americas wasn’t invented until the 15th Century. So how can there be animals and peoples so far away from what the Bible claims to be the only animals left in the world?

For sure the biblical story about the animals in the great flood is a fabule but archeological testimonies shows that there was a great flood in the mesopotamic area some thousends years ago.
This can bee seen through a stratigraphy study of dirt levels in the area and also throught he study of the stories told by different peoples in the antique world which tells about that flood, everyone with differents elements.
The Noah story is no more than other of those “cosmetized” versions of the flood.
