How can you tell a real ruby from a glass ruby?
A ruby is harder than glass, so it will resist scratching, Take a piece of quartz crystal (amethyst, citrine, etc) and try scratching it. Even if you scratch it as hard as you can, a real ruby won’t scratch.

If an apple has, say, 1000 units of antioxidants, how many units would a glass of red wine have?
We are constantly told that red wine is good for us as it is high in antioxidants, but how high? By way of a comparison if an apple has 1000 units (whatever those units are) then how many similar units does a glass of red wine have & whilst we are on it, how does that compare with a glass of white wine or simply a glass of grape juice?
looking up comparisons of antioxidants is a challenge
i couldn’t find one directly with wine & apples
i had to convert wine to dark chocolate, and dark chocolate to apples
doing that, it figures to be a 200 level on apples, to a 10,000 level on red wine
so at your apple of 1,000 units, the red wine would have 50,000 units
