Which room humidifier can be used with hard water?
There are several kinds out there… but most of them need distilled water to keep from clogging with scale. Anyone have experience using a certain model (not a whole house humidifier) with plain (hard) tap water?
I had one of these several years ago and there were chemicals I put in the water to take care of the minerals in the water. I can’t think of what they were. Try Sears or Home Depot. Sorry I don’t have more detail but I know that it’s out there.

When I was a kid..long ago..My Mother always dried clothes in the house in the winter. She used a wood rack that folded up, when not in use. Mother’s used to do a lot of cooking in those days, & always had a tea-kettle or coffee perking on the stove.
