How should I paint my door handles to match on my car?
I recently purchased a white 98 dodge avenger. The car is in excellent condition but I believe it was in a crash awhile back because the driver side door is not the original. It most likely came from a junk yard and is a perfect match all except the door handle. The original handle is white to match the car. The other one is like a scratched up black and white. I am wondering how to go about getting them to match and what I will need to buy and how much I should expect to spend to do this project?
Krylon Fusion spray paint is made for Plastics. You can buy it at most stores including Walmart. Make sure you use masking tape and paper around the door handle so when you sand it lightly so that it is mostly all black you don’t get any scratches on the rest of the door. When you get ready to paint the handle first take rubbing alcohol to a clean paper towel and clean the handle of any dust or finger prints that may contain even the slightest amount of oils. then mask more around the handle and even add some newspaper around it so there will be no over spray on your door paint job. As soon as you spray the Fusion paint (Follow the instructions on the can and always spray the first bit on some extra paper to see what kind of distance is the best for the paint and for you, for the application) when you finish spraying the handle wait a couple minutes or so till the paint is not so wet and then remove all the paper and masking tape. You may want to actually give the handle a second coat before removing the paper and the tape..

Is it legal to have shaved door handles in the state of New Hampshire?
I have not found any law or inspection issue with shaved door handles.I heard it can pass inspection but is against the law.Is it legal?For my 95 Mitsubishi Mirage ES has shaved handles and lots of mods.You can mod suspension to a point.No tint on front windows.Alter exhaust.But nothing on shaved handles.Please let me know if it is legal for shaved handles.Thank you
I had bought car with handles already shaved.Car has only 65,000 miles and is customized.
As far as I can find, there is no law concerning door handles.
If it can pass a state inspection, it can’t be against the law.
