how to get pado lockset apart?
single cylinder lockset is frozen in lock position{deadbolt}.The door is open and can’t close completely.how do you take it apart,do the handles come off? I’ve taken the screws out of faceplates but nothing seems to give. ANY HELP ON THIS PERPLEXING SITUATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok is it a deadbolt or a patio door lock,they different in every way,if its a patio door lock the hole assembly has to come out,the lock is built into the plates that screw to the door and all of it has to be replaced,if its a dead bolt,then there’s 2 screws that hold the front and back of the lock on to the door and 2 screws that hold the striker on,maybe this will help you,not knowing what you are really taling about makes it kind of hard to tell you how to remove it

Change the locks on your house is one of the home repairs easier there. The first thing to do is decide what the lock is for. For example, if you change the door knob or handle in a closet, you probably even not need to bother with a padlock. You can use a blower door free passage through the handle. To lock the closet, because it contains valuables or hazardous materials, you can not use this type of door handle.
