2001 Yamaha R1 is this a good proce?
I’m looking at a2001 Yamaha R1 Polished Frame swing arm extensions, adjustable rear lowering links, front tie-down strap, Micron Exhaust, candy blue. he wants 5500$ is that a good deal the trade in value on kbb is 3910 and the swing arm and exhaust work is prolly around 1000 or so in labor and parts well have any ideas?
For comparison, I paid $4,250 for my ’04 GSX-R1000.
Another thing to think of is the extended swing arm and front tie down means the bike has been drag racing.
That is incredibly hard on a motorcycle.
If you are talking candy blue paint that isn’t original, that usually means the bike has been down and repainted.
On a good day, that bike is worth about $1,000 less than he is asking, and you wouldn’t be getting a “deal” unless it was under $4,000.
Look at the completed auctions on ebay to get an idea of what that bike would sell for on the open market.
